Quilting Ministry

Volunteers, sewers and non-sewers, meet in the church basement to assemble quilts that are then distributed locally, within the United States, and around the world. This is open to the community!

One amazing feature of this ministry is that as many as 200 quilts are assembled over a period of a year using fabric, thread, and other materials, such as used sheets and blankets, all that have been donated directly or purchased through grants.

Our Quilting Ministry takes place the first and third Wednesdays of the month from 9-11 AM, and also on the fourth Wednesday of the month May through September. (New hours will be updated in the fall).

For anyone who would care to sew at home during the week, quilt tops need to be 60" wide and 80" long; quilt backs need to be 64" wide and 84" long.

Want to clean a closet or a drawer? Any donations of thread, fabric, or used sheets can be left inside the glass doors at the back of Grace.

Grace's Table Food Pantry

Grace’s Table Food Pantry serves residents of the Margaretta School District. Once residency is verified, guests may pick up food on the third Saturday of each month from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. In addition to pantry items, toilet paper and some cleaning supplies are also available.

You can support this ministry by donating needed items in the drop-off box located in the back vestibule of Grace Lutheran Church.

Suggested donations include:

Canned vegetables, fruits, soups, stews, and pasta meals

Boxed skillet meals

Rice or pasta side dishes

Baking staples such as flour and sugar

Volunteers are also welcome on the Thursday before pantry pickup at 8:30 a.m. to help prepare food boxes. Thank you for sharing your time and generosity to serve our neighbors.

Stamp Ministry

Grace Lutheran is excited to be able to support this very special ministry by simply savings stamps!

The income generated by this ministry goes to support the preparation, publishing and distribution of a Spanish language curriculum for Sunday schools. More than 50 lesson series have been published and are being used in churches of 40 different denominations and missions in 19 different Spanish speaking countries in South America, Central America, Spain, and even the USA. A box to deposit your saved stamps is located in the coat room right off the sanctuary. Carol Pfeil handles the collection, cutting and delivery of the stamps to Alliance Stamp Ministry in Florida. Keep saving those stamps!!
